Art Blooms 2026:
Color Abounds

Color will abound in art and flowers at Akron Art Museum on September 23 when Akron Garden Club presents Art Blooms 2026, a Garden Club of America (GCA) flower show featuring outstanding floral design, horticulture, photography, botanical arts, and conservation exhibits. The show will be open to the public 11:00 a.m. – 7:00 p.m.

Highlights will include 16 floral designs paired with works of art, arrayed throughout the galleries. There will be eight botanical arts entries—cuff bracelets and bento boxes hand-embellished entirely with dried botanical material. The McDowell Grand Lobby will feature 30 classes of seasonal cut horticultural specimens, cacti, orchids, kokedama, container gardens and more, as well as two dozen landscape and horticultural photographs of fine-art quality. An education exhibit will share the story of the native plant garden in Summit Metro Parks’ newest park.

Entries are open to members of GCA clubs. Admission fees will apply for museum nonmembers.
